KKE’s response to the article “Swearing and labels are not arguments”

On 24 June 2025, the RCWP sent yet another article, which was published on SolidNet entitled “Swearing and labels are not arguments”, characterized by anti-KKE hatred, lies and slander in an attempt to justify the unjustifiable.

Although we will not be tempted to continue what we consider to be a fruitless confrontation, we feel obliged to respond to two slanders directed against the KKE once again.

As in the “Appeal”, this article once again accuses the KKE of silencing the other parties of SolidNet and preventing discussion.

Since the beginning of the International Meetings of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWPs), the KKE has devoted considerable forces and resources, and has consistently made long-standing efforts,  among other things, to operate SolidNet as a website that presents the positions and actions of the parties participating in the IMCWPs. At the same time, each party participating in the IMCWP has the right to decide how it uses SolidNet. However, the KKE cannot be accused of obstructing discussion through SolidNet. Let us examine the data from the last twenty years, which anyone can verify by visiting the SolidNet website. This data concerns the thirteen SolidNet parties that co-signed the “Appeal”:

1) Communist Party of Armenia. Since 2015, it has published 8 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published: 0

2) Communist Party of Azerbaijan (Secretary Nurullayev). Since 2015, it has published 44 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

3) Communist Party of Azerbaijan. Since 2015, it has published 6 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

4) Communist Party of Belarus. Since 2015, it has published 7 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent but not published: 0

5) Unified Communist Party of Georgia. Since 2015, it has published 31 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent but not published: 0

6) Communist Party of Kazakhstan. Since 2015, it has published 2 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

7) Party of the Communists of Kyrgyzstan. Since 2015, it has published 1 article on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

8) Party of Communists Of Republic of Moldova. Since 2015, it has published 1 article on SolidNet. Number of articles sent but not published: 0

9) Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Since 2015, it has published 274 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent but not published: 0

10) RCWP. Since 2015, it has published 187 on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  8

11) UCP-CPSU. Since 2015, it has published 23 on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

12) Communist Party of Tadjikistan. Since 2015, it has published 1 article on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

13) Communist Party of Ukraine. Since 2015, it has published 119 articles on SolidNet. Number of articles sent and not published:  0

Therefore, we can see that the parties accusing the KKE of obstructing public debate on SolidNet have, at best, sent fewer than 300 articles, and, at worst, between 1 and 10 articles, in a period of 20 years! This is despite the fact that other parties have published hundreds of articles. Furthermore, none of the over 120 parties on SolidNet have ever been prevented from publishing their material, except for the eight articles by the RCWP against the KKE. All of these were written after the imperialist war in Ukraine and contained abusive or slanderous comments against the KKE and other parties for having a different stance on the imperialist war than the RCWP.

The second accusation made by the RCWP is that the signature of the CPSU was “arbitrarily removed” from the “Appeal”. This accusation is, of course, completely unfounded, since SolidNet published a letter from the party in question, stating that it had not signed the “Appeal”.

Finally, instead of attacking the only Greek political party that struggles against NATO, the EU, the USA, the government and its policy of involvement in war and imperialist plans through dozens of mass demonstrations and various forms of mobilization, including in the Greek and European parliaments, we would suggest that the RCWP organize a mobilization similar to those that are currently shaking Greece, in which the KKE is playing a leading role in expressing solidarity with the heroic people of Palestine and denouncing the criminal actions of the murderous state of Israel against the peoples of Iran, Syria, Yemen, etc. Or even to organize a mobilization to defend the rights of the working class and the Russian people who are suffering from anti-people policies and being killed in the imperialist war. And when it does, it should not forget to send the news to be published on SolidNet. This would make a real contribution to SolidNet itself and to the joint actions decided upon at the IMCWPs.
